Former Delta State governor, James Ibori, who was picked up by Department of State Services (DSS) operatives on arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja, has been released.
He was released after holding a “meeting” with Mr. Lawal Daura, the director-general.
Ibori returned to the country on Saturday after serving a jail term for money-laundering in the UK.
He was quickly whisked away by DSS men and taken to their head office for “briefing”.
Ibori is heading to Oghara, his home town in Delta state, where his relations and supporters are waiting for him.
