President Muhammadu Buhari, who just returned to Nigeria after a medical sojourn in the United Kingdom, would officially resume duties as president on Monday, the Presidency has announced.
Buhari’s media aide, Femi Adesina disclosed this on his twitter handle @FemAdesina.
Adesina said the President would transmit a letter to the National Assembly on his resumption, which according to him will make his return to the country formal and constitutional.
He wrote,“PMB will Monday transmit letter to N’ Assembly on his return to the country. That makes his return to work formal, and constitutional.”
Buhari returned to the country on Friday after 49 days in London, United Kingdom, where he received quality medical care unavailable to majority of Nigerians back home.
