PHOTONEWS: ‘Hameed Ali Must Go’, Protesters Demand In Onitsha

Barely hours after Senators fumed over the bluff of Nigeria Customs Service Comptroller-General Hameed Ali, protesters took to major streets of Onitsha, in Anambra State, demanding his immediate sack.

The protesters are alleging disrespect of the National Assembly by Mr. Ali. The protest is being coordinated by civil society organisations.

The Customs boss had snubbed the invitation of the Senate, first on the flimsy excuse that it coincided with an NCS meeting and then later claimed he was bereaved and as such would not be able to appear before the upper house as summoned.
