BREAKING: Four Killed, 20 Wounded in London Parliament Terror Attack

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mark Rowley has confirmed to journalists in London that three people were killed, including the police officer who was stabbed and the assailant and 20 others were wounded in the London parliament terror attack on Wednesday.

Mark Rowley said 20 people were injured after the attacker, armed with two large knives, mowed down pedestrians with his car on Westminster Bridge then rushed at the gates in front of the Houses of Parliament, stabbing a policeman before he was shot by armed officers.

Two others also died after being hit by the car on Westminster Bridge.

Mr Rowley, the Met’s most senior counter-terror officer, also confirmed that 20 other people were injured, among them are three police officers.

Witnesses say they saw many bodies lying on the street. French Prime Minister has said that French students are among the injured.

At the moment, he said Scotland Yard is believing that only one attacker was involved. But Westminster has been locked down as the police search for possible accomplices.

Meanwhile, a woman has been pulled out alive from the River Thame, near Westminster bridge.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Facebook has activated safety check for Westminster.
