Amid the certificate brouhaha, the Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye on Thursday shared a photo of himself at the National Youth Service Corps camp in Kaduna State on his official tweeter account @dino_melaye.
“ABU 99 set at NYSC camp in KD. Me in blue shorts,” Melaye wrote about the photo.
An online news media, Saharareporters had triggered a lingering row by alleging that the senator did not graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria as claimed.
The Senator has insisted he graduated from the institution and that he headed the student union government while there. He also hinted that he is presently a post-graduate student of the same university. He wondered how someone without a first degree could be doing a masters degree course.
Melaye has also dragged Saharareporters for libel and is claiming N5 billion for damages caused to his person by the injurious falsehood being spread by the online news platform.
