The Department of State Services, DSS, has arrested the owner of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Ubah. The reason for his arrest has not been disclosed.
For now, the reason for his arrest remains a matter for speculation. However, the businessman had been previously implicated in a fraud saga with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.
He was accused of embezzling funds from an illegal sale of crude oil saved in his facility.
His arrest was confirmed to CHECKPOINTCHARLEY by one of his staff.
