The President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Saraki on Monday said he has no power to reinstate the suspended former Senate Leader, Ali Ndume.
Mr.Saraki made this clear to State House correspondents after meeting behind closed doors with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Also at the meeting was the speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
According to him, he would only transmit the message of the Borno State Governor on the matter to the larger house that suspended Ndume.
Saraki said being a Senate President or Speaker of the House of Representatives only make them first among equals.
