President of the United Church of Christ in Nigeria, also known as HEKAN, Reverend Amos Kiri, on Sunday asked President Muhammadu Buhari government to dislodge killer Fulani herdsmen the way it dislodged Boko Haram terrorists.
Rev. Kiri, speaking on the theme, ‘Restoration’, at the 51st annual convention of the church, in Kaduna on Sunday regretted that the issue of Fulani herdsmen, who have continued to unleash terror on innocent Nigerians across the country, is being treated with levity.
He said helpless citizens have suffered enough in the hands of herdsmen and demanded that the Federal Government woke up to its responsibility and secure the country.
The Cleric stated that Fulani herdsmen deserves the same treatment meted out to Boko Haram members by the Nigerian military.
Rev. Kiri said the killings by both Boko Haram and the herdsmen must be stopped by the military.
