German football team Borussia Dortmund have said an explosion near their team bus has left one person injured.
Dortmund Police said some of the bus windows were shattered while others were completely blown out as three blasts went off. The injured person has been taken to hospital.
It is gathered that the injured is Spain international Marc Bartra, with an injury to his hand.
It is unclear what caused the explosion, police added.
This happened as the Dortmund team were due to play Monaco in the Champion’s League quarter-final tonight.
The Dortmund players have been taken to safety, the club said in a statement on their official Twitter account. The incident happened “shortly after the departure of the Borussia Dortmund team bus fom the hotel to the stadium, the club said said.
Officials said the match has been postponed and will instead take place tomorrow.
FC Barcelona, the former club of the 26-year-old Bartra and the Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy have tweeted their support, wishing him a quick recovery.
