The Edo State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has affirmed the victory of Godwin Obaseki of the All Progressives Congress, APC, dismissing the petition filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, challenging the declaration of Obaseki as winner of the September 28 Edo Governorship electionl by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Chairman of the three-man panel, Justice Ahmed Badamasi upheld the election of Obaseki as Governor of the state.
The decision has triggered jubilation among APC supporters and sympathizers across the state.
