CHECKPOINTCHARLEY has been informed that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has fulfilled his bail conditions granted him by an Abuja Federal High Court.This was confirmed by Nnamdi Kanu’s brother, Prince Kanu. He said ” It’s true, he has just perfected the bail terms.”
The bail condition were reportedly perfected in the presence of the Chairman, South East Senate caucus and former Deputy Governor of Abia State, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, a Jewish High Chief Priest, Immanuu-El Shalom and a Chartered Accountant residing in Abuja, Tochukwu Uchendu.
His lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor also confirmed it. “Nnamdi Kanu’s bail has been perfected,” said his lawyer Friday afternoon.
“Nnamdi Kanu has met his bail conditions.”
The Federal High Court, Abuja, had on Tuesday granted Mr. Kanu bail on health grounds, but very stringent conditions, which included having ‘a highly respected’ Jewish leader, a ‘senior highly placed person of Igbo extraction such as a senator’; and a highly respected person who owns landed property and is resident in Abuja as sureties.
