A 100-level Business Administration female student of University of Lagos (UNILAG), Ariyibi Ayomide has reportedly committed suicide after she was shamed publicly by her roommates for “taking” makeup kits and clothes of a fellow student.
Ms. Ayomide, a Employee Relations and Human Resources Management had been accused of taking makeup kits and clothes that didn’t belong to her. Her roommates had allegedly taken it up against her calling her all sorts of names as they disgraced her publicly. Some other residents of her hostel are said to have joined in publicly disgracing Ayomide, who was later led away by her mother after the matter was resolved.
But on getting home, she is said to have drank a bottle of popular insecticide, sniper to put an end to her trauma and her life.
