Amid Rumours of Failing Health Buhari Opts To Meet Freed Chibok Girls Behind Closed Doors

Amid rumours of deteriorating health condition, Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday evening opted to receive the 82 freed Chibok girls behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The girls, who were conveyed in two buses in a military convoy amidst tight security, arrived a few minutes after 7pm at the State House, Presidential Villa, Abuja to meet with Mr. Buhari.

After they were earlier airlifted from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital to Abuja on Sunday afternoon, the released Chibok School girls are as the time of filing this report meeting with President Buhari inside his official residence behind closed doors.

Journalists were reportedly barred from the meeting. Only the state-owned Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Cameraman and the President’s Personal Photographer, Bayo Omoboriowo were allowed into the venue of the meeting.

The girls were accompanied by the Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan.
