A video has been posted online, showing a former governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Blessing Agbomhere narrating how he was attacked by thugs, allegedly controlled by the state deputy governor, Mr. Phillip Shaibu.
Mr. Agbomhere said in the video that he was warned not set his foot in Benin. He said that former governor Adam Oshiomole and Shaibu are not the owners of Edo State – so he could not understand why they said a ciitzen of Edo, like him, should not come to the state.
Agbombere stated that it was not a crime to have contested the governorship of the state under the APC. He said he was a member of the APC but was suspended from the party for alleged anti-party activities.
Agbomhere, who was in company of Moses Siasia, a former governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Movement in Bayelsa State when the thugs attacked them on Monday at the Benin Airport, wondered what caliber of a man Edo has as a deputy governor. “Is these the type of people who will bring change? he asked.

“They are all APC… We don enter one chance. Thank God I don’t live in Edo State…”
