A prodigal son, who allegedly conspired with others to kidnap his own father, has been arrested by the Police in Oyo State. The suspect was paraded alongside others on Wednesday by the State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude.
The kidnapping of the suspect’s father was carried out on May 17 at Igboora in Ibarapa Central Local Government Area, Mr. Odude said.
The suspect has confessed to the crime.
“The suspect said he got a share of less than N1 million in the ransom collected although he confessed that his father never offended him,” the CP said.
According to him, the suspects would be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
