The Dan Masanin Kano and former minister, Ambassador Maitama Sule is dead.
The elder statesman died in a Cairo Hospital, Egypt on Monday morning, according to a family source.
One of Maitama Sule’s surviving sons, Mukhtar Maitama Sule also confirmed his death. He said his father died 24 hours after arrival at the Egyptian hospital.
Sule’s remains would be flown to Nigeria tomorrow for a befitting burial, according to Muslim rites, he said.
