
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has told the Catalan club to sell four players before he puts pen to paper on a new contract.
Spanish publication, Don Balon reports that the newly wedded Argentina captain wants Munir El Haddadi, Thomas Vermaelen, Arda Turan and Andre Gomes to leave Barcelona.
Messi, who got married last weekend, wants improvement at Nou Camp, after Barca lost their league title to rivals Real Madrid last season and crashed out of the Champions League against Juventus.
It is understood that he is willing to sign the new deal before going away with his wife for a break, he has told the club’s officials to freshen up the squad.
Messi’s contract expires at the end of next season.
