Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho is to have a medical at Leicester on Tuesday ahead of his portracted £25m transfer from Manchester City, where he had failed to keep a regular team place.
Iheanacho’s move to the Foxes should have been finalised last weekend as Leicester City boss Craig Shakespeare had hoped.
However the finalisation was reportedly stalled by contractual issues, including the possibility of a buy-back clause and a dispute over Iheanacho’s image rights.
Unsettled Iheanacho featured 28 times for City last season, scoring seven goals. But made only one start for the Citizens in 2017.
It was in the 2-1 win over Burnley.
