Brazilian megastar Neymar has agreed to a five-year deal with French club Paris Saint-Germain and he is due in Paris within hours to finalise the move.
The move from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain will be the most expensive transfer in world football history.
According to Skysports the total value of the deal is worth nearly £450m (€500m), which includes wages, bonuses and a buyout clause of £198m (€222m). Neymar has been offered a basic salary of £26.8m-a-year (€30m) after tax, around £515,000-a-week.
Neymar reportedly decided to leave Barcelona following talks on holiday near Rio de Janeiro in early July, before he joined the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
A source close to the striker hinted that Neymar was close to joining Manchester United in last summer’s transfer market but chose PSG after a further season at Barcelona, where he would join five Brazilian international teammates at PSG, including Dani Alves and Thiago Silva.
PSG are yet to officially confirm the five year deal.
Despite assurances from Barcelona and teammates, CHECKPOINTCHARLEY had reported that Neymar had moved to turn his back on the Catalan club.
