Four people have died and six others severely injured and in critical condition after a three-storey building collapsed on Sunday in Owerri, the Imo state capital. The building is located at #9 Egbu Road.
One person is said to be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.
Imo state emergency services have arrived the scene. Also the Red Cross and Police is helping to see whether there are other survivors.
A source told CHECKPOINTCHARLEY that the landlord of the building is on the run after the house collapsed in the early hours of Sunday.
“The building was approved a a storey building but the greedy landlord illegally raised it to three-storey without permit.
