Barcelona To Make Final £138m Take-Or-Leave-It Bid For Coutinho

FC Barcelona is preparing to make a fourth take-or-leave-it final bid for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho. Not deterred by the Meyerside club rejecting their three previous bids, Barcelona are reportedly bracing to make a new £138m offer for the Brazillian.

Barcelona are desperately searching for a replacement for Neymar who moved to Paris this summer for €222m world record fee.

Liverpool have consistently said that Coutinho is not for sale.

But Sky Sports reports that despite Jurgen Klopp reiterating the Coutinho situation has “100 percent not changed”, Barcelona will make a final fourth bid in the hope that the Reds would be moved to have a change of mind.

Barcelona’s third bid was turned down for the lack of money up front.

Liverpool maintain no offer will be accepted, however should a guarantee reach close to £100m, it’s understood that their stance may begin to shake.

The Catalan club is now ready with a fourth offer of £100m up front with add-ons of £36m — despite telling Liverpool they had made their final bid last week.

The extras include £9m each time Barca qualify for the Champions League over the next four seasons — which is virtually guaranteed.

Recall that Coutinho handed in a transfer request earlier this month, to make it clear toLiverpool that he wants the Barca move.

Barcelona’s last bid was reported to be worth £118 million (128.7 million euros, $151 million).

The current transfer window shuts end of August.

“It will take time because he has not trained for a long time. I’ve no idea at this moment (when he will return), we would have to check when he is back.”
