Former APC Senator, Kanti Bello Who Said He Regretted Inviting Buhari Into Politics Is Dead

Former two-time All Progressives Alliance (APC) Senator from Katsina State, Kanti Bello, who had recently said that he regretted inviting President Muhammadu Buhari to join politics, has died in the early hours of Tuesday, in Abuja.

The ex-lawmaker’s death was confirmed in a terse statement by the younger brother to former Katsina State Deputy Governor, Abdullahi Faskari.

“I am directed to inform everybody that we lost Senator Kanti Bello early hours of this mourning (Tuesday) at Abuja. Burial arrangement will be announced later,” the statement said.

Senator Bello, a Chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Katsina state had recently regretted that he regretted inviting President Muhammadu Buhari into politics.

According to the former Senate Chief Whip the past two year of Buhari’s administration has been a waste.

Mr. Bello had represented Daura Senatorial Zone between 2003-2007 and 2007-2011, and was the pioneer Managing Director of Katsina Steel Rolling Mill.
