
A heavy downpour that lasted for over 12 hours has left Imo State capital, Owerri flooded, displacing many residents and damaging property worth millions of Naira.
Worst hit are the Federal Housing Estate at Chukwuma Nwoha road, old CBN quarters at Egbu road and Federal Housing World Bank Estate areas of the city.
However, other places like Uratta Toronto junction, World bank, Wethedral road, IMSU junction, Chukwuma Nwoha, Orji road were also submerged by the flood.
The state government is yet to respond, but affected victims have called on the Governor Rochas Okorocha government to come to their aid.
