
The Rivers State Police Command on Wednesday declared eight persons wanted in connection with the massacre at Mgboshimini community in Obio-Akpor Local government area of the State.
The eight wanted persons are also accused of killing of a Chief in Mgboshimini, called Minikwu.
According to Police Spokesman, Nnamdi Omon, DSP, four of the wanted persons are from Omoku in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local government area, three are from Obio-Akpor while the last person is from Andoni Local government area.
Mr. Omoni said finding the suspects is the responsibility of everyone in Rivers State.
“Everyone owes it a moral duty to assist the police.”
Twenty five persons were killed by suspected armed cultists in Mgboshimini, Obio-Akpor Local government Area of Rivers state.
The motive for the massacre remains unknown.
