The Supreme Court of Nigeria on Thursday adjourned the hearing of an appeal by former National Security Adviser, NSA, Col. Sambo Dasuki rtd. to January 25, 2018.
Mr. Dasuki had sought the intervention of the apex court in his indefinite detention without trial since November 2015 by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He had prayed the court to order the Federal Government to release him from custody.
The former NSA, in the appeal, asked the Supreme Court to order the Federal Government to obey the bail orders granted to him by the Federal High Court Abuja and the ECOWAS Court.
Despite those court orders, the Nigerian government under Mr. Buhari continues to keep Dasuki in custody.
