The Asokoro home of minister of state for petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu was gutted by fire on Sunday evening.
An electrical fault is said to be suspected to be the cause of the fire outbreak.
The minister had in a recently leaked memo to president Muhammadu Buhari accused the GMD of the NNPC, Maikanti Baru of awarding contracts worth $25 billion without following due process. He had also accused Mr. Baru of insubordination.
