Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, on Tuesday barred reporters from covering the resumed treason trial of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
They stopped journalists from gaining entrance into the court room at the Abuja Federal High Court, venue of today’s hearing. The operatives simply said they were working under strict directives to prevent reporters from having access to the court room.
The trial of the IPOB leader resumed today before Justice Binta Nyako.
However, Mr. Kanu has not been seen or heard from since security operatives allegedly invaded his residence in Umuahia, Abia State, on September 14.
