A man, identified as Oluseyi Adekunle, on Friday afternoon jumped into the Lagos lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge.
Witnesses said he scaled the rails and jumped into the Lagoon after dropping his bag.
His ATM card and other items were however recovered from the scene of the incident, which helped reveal his identity.
The officials of the Lagos State Waterways Authority, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the Marine Police Authorities, who immediately arrived the scene, called off the search operation after failing for four hours to recover Adekunle’s body.
Recall that earlier in the year, a man jumped into a canal in the Festac Town area of Lagos.
