President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday received in audience Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha of Imo State at the State House in Abuja.
They say a picture says a thousand words. The photo above shows the Imo State governor, smiling from ear to ear but his host looked not amused. And why should he? With Okorocha moving fro one controversy to another, he may have become a political burden to Mr. Buhari as an ally.
Recently, Okorocha made the headlines for the wrong reasons after he spent millions of tax payers’ money in erecting a statue for South African President Jacob Zuma – a man facing corruption charges in his home country and someone who has in no way connection with the Imo people. Right thinking people believe that the money could have be channelled into better use, especially when workers are still being owed salaries and when there are no running water in most of the state schools.
