Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, who is yet to honour legendary Imo State governor, late Sam Mbakwe, again on Friday unveiled another controversial statue built in honour of visiting Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
A road was also named after her by Okorocha who has not deemed it fit to honour great Imo sons and daughters. One of such is the deceased former governor of Imo State, Sam Mbakwe.
Imolites are cursing Okorocha for wasting taxpayers’ money when workers are owed months of unpaid salaries.
The now unpopular Imo governor had also recently honoured South Africa’s Jacob Zuma with a statue and a road, which had reportedly cost Imo people N850million.
