The Super Eagles of Nigeria came back from two goals down on Tuesday in Russia to post a famous 4-2 demolition of Argentina.
A nervous Nigerian side were down in the 27 minute after goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi blunder gifted the Argentines a free kick, which Ever Banega brilliantly converted.
Manchester city’s forward, Kun Aguero, made it 2-0 worse at the 36th minute mark.
But on the dot of half time Leicester forward Kelechi Iheanacho sparked off an unlikely comeback with a curling free-kick that dazed the Argentine’s goalkeeper.
And a brace by Alex Iwobi in the 52nd and 73rd minute, and a goal from debutante, Brian Idowu in the 54th minute sealed a famous win for the Super Eagles.
Argentina was however without super star, Lionel Messi.
