At least seven people were confirmed dead in two crashes at the Kara end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and in the Fagba area of Lagos on Thursday.
The Kara incident was a multiple accident involving a truck and some vehicles, while a train rammed into a trailer on the railway line along Fagba.
Four persons hanging on the train were said to have died.
Many others were wounded.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the state police command confirmed the deaths.
