The Lagos State Police have rescued 13-year-old Nkechi Oseh houseboy on Wednesday from the residence of her “madam”, who locked her for weeks.
The State Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Ag CP Imohimi Edgal, led the team that rescued the orphan at No. 30 Adeniran Ajao Estate Anthony.
Help came Nkechi’s way following a tip-off to the command that her boss, one Ms Betty Ifeoma, had locked her up for weeks, leaving her with only two packets of cabin biscuit.
It is understood that the woman was in the habit of locking her up for weeks anytime she is travelling within or outside the country
It was gathered that Nkechi had been subjected to series of domestic attacks.
She said she had been locked up on four different occasions since her uncle brought her from Igboju in Delta state.
“I have been locked up for two weeks, one-week, three-weeks when she travelled to London and since she travelled on Saturday, I have been crying before God helped me today.”
The commissioner of police promised to service justice.
