Manchester United on Tuesday night at Old Trafford beat visiting CSKA Moscow 2-1 to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.
The victory helped United to finish top of Group A, while Swiss champions Basel won 2-0 away at Benfica for the second spot that saw them also through.
In Group D, the “Old Ladies”, Juventus Turin qualified after a 2-0 victory over Olympiakos in Greece.
Rome also went through from Group C following a slim 1-0 win at home to Qarabag.
