President Muhammadu Buhari may have finally decided to seek reelection in 2019 and has reportedly reappointed his Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as the Director-General of his 2019 election campaign.
According to THISDAY, Buhari has started preparing to campaign.
Amaechi, who led Buhari’s campaign in 2015, has been issued a letter of appointment for next year’s election and would make an official announcement on his appointment anytime soon.
The President had consistently refused to say categorically if he would run again in 2019. But it is understood that he had discussed the matter with Amaechi, who had convinced him to run in 2015.
