The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has announced the dissolution of six councils Caretaker Committees in the State.
The dissolution was announced in a statement by Kenneth Ubani, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor.
The affected Caretaker Committee Chairmen were directed to handover all council property to the Local government Permanent Secretaries.
This may not be unconnected with the recent killings across the state by unidentified gunmen.
