Former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Monday declared his intention to run for Abia North Senatorial seat in 2019.
Mr. Kalu disclosed this to journalists at his Igbere country home.
He regretted that the people who represented the area in the past were concerned about “self- aggrandizement” at the expense of people’s welfare.
Kalu, who last year joined the ruling party, APC, boasted that, as governor, he transformed the state, saying his decision to contest for the Senate seat was to ensure that people of Abia North enjoy democratic dividends.
