
President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday evening met behind with the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the recent killings recorded in Benue State and other parts of the country.
This was disclosed by the Presidency in a message posted on its Twitter handle, @NGRPresident.
The presidency said Buhari called the meeting to brief the National Assembly leaders of the efforts of his administration at restoring normalcy to troubled parts of the country.
The message read, “Ongoing: President @MBuhari meeting with Senate President @bukolasaraki & Speaker @YakubDogara on the security situation in Benue and other parts of the country.
“The President called the meeting to brief @nassnigeria on @AsoRock’s ongoing efforts at #SecuringBenue.”
