The Federal Government has finally summoned the United States ambassador to Nigeria, Stuart Symington, over the racist comments made by President Donald Trump over African countries.
Trump had in a meeting with some US legislators said he was sick of immigrants coming from ‘shithole’ countries in Africa and Haiti.
The comment attracted global outrage and people had expected Nigeria, as a leader in Africa, to demonstrate to Trump government that such is unacceptable.
Mr. Symington is expected to meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama later on Monday.
