Operatives of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Police and Department of State Services, DSS, on Friday arrested illegal Nigerien citizens and other foreigners at Karu, Abuja who were allegedly smuggled into the country.
They were arrested following a tip-off and it is unclear what their mission was.
Foreigners have been fingered in the killings across the North under the guise of herdsmen.
The illegal immigrants were smuggled into Abuja in a truck used to transport, Onions, tomatoes goats and cows.
