Co-convener of Bring Back our Girls, Aisha Yesufu has expressed shock over reports that Kassim Afegbua, spokesman to former military president Ibrahim Babangida has been declared wanted by police over anti Buhari statement.
Reacting to the IGP’s order for Afegbua’s arrest, she lamented that killer herdsmen, who had murdered scores of Nigerians were moving freely in the country, yet individuals were being arrested over freedom of speech.
Aisha queried President Muhammadu Buhari over freedom of Miyetti Allah members despite accepting committing atrocities.
The protection of lives should be a priority of the government, she said.
“As in seriously?! Meanwhile Miyetti Allah spokespeople that have owned up to atrocities are walking freely. Those that burnt 7 citizens are walking freely.
“Terrorist herdsmen are walking freely. Youth rampaging in Benue State are walking freely. We are not a well Nation.
“Dear President Muhammadu Buhari @MBuhari The primary responsibility of government is the protection of lives.”
