Over 50 policemen have been deployed in the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS, headquarters in Abuja.
It is understood that the move is to prevent breakdown of law and order as some people, allegedly hired by recently reinstated Executive Secretary of the NHIS boss, Usman Yusuf, are expected to hold a solidarity rally in support of him at the agency.
Yusuf, accused of N919m fraud, was scandalously reinstated by President Muhammadu Buhari last week.
In protest to his reinstatement, unionists had grounded activities at NHIS headquarters.
The Chairman of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria at the NHIS, Mr. Razaq Omomeji, had told members on Monday not to be intimidated.
Omomeji accuses Yusuf of hiring people to come and protest for him.
