Despite accusation of sabotage by the a national leader of the ruling party Bola Tinubu, the National Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has approved a one year extension of the tenure of all its elected and appointed party officials.
That includes the party chairman, who was accused last week by Mr. Tinubu of sabotaging his efforts at reconciling warring party members as mandated by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The extension would take effect from June 30, reports say.
