The immediate past governor of Nasarawa State, Aliyu Akwe-Doma, has died in an Israeli hospital.
This was disclosed by his nephew, Ahmed Bako Tuesday night.
According to him, Akwe-Doma died after a brief illness.
He was a one-term Nasarawa State governor from 2007 to 2011. Incumbent governor Umaru Al-makura had defeated him in the 2011 governorship election..
