The senator representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, Ali Wakili, is dead.
According to sources in the Nigerian Senate, Mr. Wakili slumped on Saturday morning at his Gwarimpa, Abuja residence and later died at a hospital within the estate, where he was taken to.
He reportedly died before getting emergency treatment.
Wakili, 58, a member of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, was the Chairman of Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation.
