State governors elected on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress on Tuesday kept mum after a reportedly stormy meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The meeting was held inside the Council Chambers.
Sources described the meeting as stormy and the governors refused to speak with State House correspondents as they left with tensed faces.
Those who refused to talk are Rochas Okorocha of Imo, Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong and Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
It is understood that the divisive topic of tenure extension for members of the party’s National Working Committee had been on the table.
All APC state governors were in attendance, as wel Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and some top presidential aides and government officials.
