Stern looking policemen have laid siege to the Sangha Street, Maitama, Abuja residence of Senator Dino Melaye.
Melaye alerted the Punch of the siege on the telephone at about 1:43 pm.
The Police operatives blocked the street with a Toyota Hiace bus with tinted glass and Plate Number RSH 193 TP on one end, and a pickup van at the other end.
According to the the newspaper, they had prevented those in the building from exiting but later allowed family members, friends and guest to enter and exit the premises.

Recall that he had earlier in the day been arrested and detained by immigration officers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja on his way to Morocco.
He was said to have “escaped.”
