
The Chairman of the Ekiti State Governorship Primary Election Committee, Governor Tanko Al-Makura, has declared former governor, John Kayode Fayemi the winner of the APC governorship primary.
According to the official result, Fayemi polled a total of 941 votes to beat 32 other aspirants, including Segun Oni who scored 481 votes.
Mr. Kayode Ojo was third with 281 votes.
A total of 2337 delegates were accredited to vote.
Al-Makura said Faymei scored the highest number of votes and satisfied all requirements to be declared the winner.
