A soldier, simply identified simply as Emmanuel has been arrested by the 3rd Division of the Nigerian Army for allegedly stabbing a colleague, David, to death over a girl in Jos, Plateau State.
The Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Kayode Ogunsanya, who disclosed this, said the military police are investigating the case.
It is understood that Emmanuel, of the private (Pte) military rank, on Tuesday took a substance suspected to be cocaine and shortly after taking the drug, he got into a brawl with the victim over a girl at the mammy market of the 3rd division, Maxwell Khobe Cantonment.
He later reportedly brought out a knife and stabbed the victim.
The was said to have been immediately rushed to the Medical Reception Station where a first aid treatment was given before he was transfered to a hospital for further treatment. But he died at the hospital.
