The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, has advised Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, to do a self- assessment in view of what he sees as a united voice against the governor’s way of governance and style.

Mr. Odigie-Oyegun gave the advice to Okorocha, seen by many as self-consumed, in an interview with reporters in Abuja, on Sunday.

The APC chairman was responding to questions about allegations against him made by Okorocha.

The Imo State governor had alleged his political losses during the APC congresses in his state was masterminded by Oyegun because he (Okorocha) opposed the tenure elongation earlier approved for the party leadership.

But Oyegun wondered why Okorocha, who was not even the most vocal opponent of the “so called” tenure elongation, would be the only one to be allegedly singled out for a witch-hunt.

“Okorocha wasn’t the strongest force behind the objection to tenure elongation so why is his case different? I don’t think it is necessary to go into the details,” he said.
